Salvatore De Simone’s choreographic practice moves between the poetic and the grotesque, creating worlds of chiaroscuro where beauty and tension coexist. His work draws from classical art, literature, and allegory, using them as metaphoric frameworks to generate movement and visual dramaturgy.
He creates and moves images — sculptural, emotional, and deeply human — that unfold through the body as living compositions. Each piece seeks to evoke rather than illustrate, engaging the audience through layers of symbolism, physicality and expression.

Blending dance, theatre, and visual art, Salvatore’s practice crosses disciplines to construct immersive landscapes where timeless beauty meets raw physicality. His movement language is articulated and expressive, balancing control with vulnerability, humour with tragedy.
His choreographies explore identity, transformation, and the human condition through metaphor and emotional intensity. Guided by research, intuition and imagination, Salvatore crafts a visual and kinetic poetry that invites the viewer into spaces of mystery, empathy, and reflection.
