SHARING

Exploring Physicality, Emotion, and Imagery in Choreographic Practice

Salvatore-424.JPG

Salvatore De Simone is interested in sharing through encounters and laboratories that reflect his choreographic practice — a meeting point between poetic imagery, physical precision, and emotional depth. Rooted in contemporary dance, his sessions explore how metaphor, intention, and imagination can shape movement into expressive and visually striking forms.

Through improvisation, composition, and performative exploration, participants are guided to access the full range of their physical and emotional presence.

Drawing inspiration from classical art, folklore, and the grotesque, the work invites dancers to embody contrasts — light and shadow, control and surrender, beauty and distortion.

Salvatore has delivered workshops and creative laboratories internationally, including at The Royal Ballet School, Montpellier Danse, Royal Danish Ballet School, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, WEST Kowloon Cultural District (Hong Kong), Studio Architanz (Tokyo), and Deutsche Tanzkompanie. His teaching encourages curiosity, individuality, and creative risk-taking, offering a space where technique becomes a language for storytelling and the body transforms into a moving image.
