Shurhùq is a Mediterranean-inspired dance piece that explores the convergence of cultures, histories, and identities shaped by the powerful winds of the region. Drawing from the Arabic concept of Shurhùq, this piece embodies the winds that bring both disruption and renewal, sweeping across lands and hearts. The dancers move through a blend of traditional Mediterranean rhythms and contemporary expressions, representing the fusion of different cultural influences. As the performance unfolds, the fluidity of the wind transforms each moment, evoking a journey of emotional and physical reshaping, where past and present collide, and identities merge in a dance of change and unity.
